George Pimentel/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Miley Cyrus' latest venture isn't a new movie or an album. On Monday, she launched the Happy Hippie Foundation, which aims to bring awareness to youth homelessness and other vulnerable communities, such as the LGBT community.

"I'm the one that can fix it," Miley said of the problems plaguing homeless and LGBT youth on Tuesday's Good Morning America. "And I think I've been able to identify with it just because I've never thought of myself as I'm a girl and so I can't do this or I can do this or you gotta be a boy to do that. I've never thought about that. I feel completely like I'm not tied to a gender or to an age. I feel, you know, like an infinite cosmic thing and that's what I want people to feel."

Although it started with bringing a homeless teen with her to the MTV Video Music Awards, Miley said she was recently inspired to expand her foundation for LGBT youth when she saw Bruce Jenner's interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer, in which he revealed he's transitioning to a woman. Miley added that she "thought it was really cool" that he used his platform to bring awareness of transgender issues to "that many impressionable people."

Miley is kicking off fundraising for her foundation with a number of music video collaborations called "Backyard Sessions" filmed in her own backyard -- hence, the name. Miley's friends and frequent collaborators -- such as Joan Jett, transgender rocker Laura Jane Grace, folk legend Melanie Safka, and Ariana Grande -- are featured in the videos, which will premiere exclusively on Miley's Facebook page. The social networking site has placed a special "Donate" link on the page so fans can contribute to The Happy Hippie Foundation, where funds will create digital support groups for LGBT youth and their families.

The first video features Miley and Joan singing "Different," a song from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' 2013 album, Unvarnished.

Miley said if she has any advice for a teen struggling with who they are, she'd give them this advice: "You want to be peaceful with yourself and happy with yourself and love yourself. And sometimes I think, as women especially, I think we're taught that we're not supposed to say 'I love myself'...I love myself and that's what everyone should be able to say."

Esther Horvath/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Ryan Gosling is finally having that bowl of cereal.

A few years ago, Scottish filmmaker Ryan McHenry started creating Vine videos showing him holding a spoon of cereal in front of a TV screen featuring Gosling acting in some of his biggest roles. As Gosling recoiled or moved his hand on the screen, McHenry adjusted the spoon as though the two actions -- McHenry’s spoonfuls and Gosling’s disinterest -- were happening in the same moment.

McHenry titled the series “Ryan Gosling won’t eat his cereal.” The odd, surreal pairing found viral success.

But as the videos found an audience, McHenry faced health struggles. He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of cancer that originates in the bones.

McHenry died recently at the age of 27.

So Gosling poured milk and cereal flakes into a bowl and recorded his breakfast adventure, holding up his spoon in tribute to the man on the other side of the meme.

“My heart goes out to all of Ryan McHenry’s family and friends. Feel very lucky to have been apart of his life in some small way,” Gosling wrote on Twitter.

Buena Vista(NEW YORK) -- WARNING: Spoilers ahead!

Avengers: Age of Ultron ends with one of the team members falling at the metal hands of Ultron.

The movie opened Friday and, thus far, many have been caught off guard by the sudden death of Quicksilver, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, in one of the final scenes.

Now, Marvel producer Kevin Feige is explaining why he had to die.

“It adds stakes to the ending of the film,” he told MTV News.

He also said it shows the “repercussions to Ultron’s actions, and also in a way to solidify Scarlet Witch’s character, and Wanda’s arc in the movie and where we’ll see her in the next films.”

This is a huge death in the Marvel Universe, so how did they keep Quicksilver's demise a secret?

Feige said his team released different drafts with the character living at the end and “even shot him standing with the team at the end to prevent people from giving it away."

Gregory Pace/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Ellen Albertini Dow died Monday at the age of 101, ABC News has confirmed through her rep Juliet Green.

Dow was best known for her work as the foul-mouth grandma in Wedding Crashers and performed "Rapper's Delight" in The Wedding Singer.

Dow was born in 1913 in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, and had small roles in TV hits like Moonlighting, Family Matters and The Golden Girls before being featured in 1998's The Wedding Singer, alongside Adam Sandler. She was also Barry's grandma in Road Trip and Grandma Cleary in Wedding Crashers. More recently, she was featured in the hit show New Girl as Aunt Ruthie in 2013.

After obtaining a bachelor's and master's from Cornell University, Dow performed alongside legendary mimes Marcel Marceau and Jacques LeCoq in Paris, according to IMDB, which lists her first on-screen credits in the mid-1980s when she was already in her 70s. She also taught drama and dance for more than three decades.

Dow was married for more than 50 years to Eugene Francis Dow, also a teacher and founder of the theater arts department at Pierce College in California, from 1951 to 2004, before his death.

ABC(LOS ANGELES) — Actress Rumer Willis had a perfect night on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Monday.  The daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore received perfect scores from the judges for two performances.

The first performance required the six remaining celebrities and their pro partners to perform a dance style voted on by the viewers.

Each pair also teamed up with an eliminated pro or troupe member for a trio dance highlighting the jive, paso doble, samba or salsa.

No one was eliminated Monday. There will be a double elimination on a special Tuesday night “results” show.

Here’s a rundown of Monday’s performances:

Noah Galloway: The U.S. Army veteran and double-amputee’s tango drew praise from the judges, even as they acknowledged that he couldn’t perform the tango exactly as required because of his missing arm and leg. Len Goodman said he liked the performance, overall, but would have preferred to see more intensity between Galloway and pro partner Sharna Burgess. Julianne Hough agreed with Goodman about Galloway’s restrictions but said she appreciated his speed. Carrie Ann Inaba was impressed with the innovation of the routine. “It was very elegant,” she said, adding: “It was a bit blocky. I know it’s very hard to avoid that...” Bruno Tonioli liked the performance. “You even managed to maintain the frame. How you did that I have no idea...That was good!” Galloway earned three 8s and a 7, for a total of 31 out of a possible 40 points.

Chris Soules: The Bachelor star’s contemporary routine with Witney Carson drew unanimous praise from the judges. “Well, you guys are just pulling out stops at exactly the right time,” exclaimed Hough, who said Soules wins “the award for most improved this season.” Tonioli said he liked the “new, different shades of Chris,” calling his performance emotive and “tastefully sexy.” He did caution Soules to think more about using his entire body when he was performing this dance style. Inaba cheered, telling Soules it was “by far, your best dance.” Goodman agreed, adding: “Well done.” Soules earned two 9s and two 8s, for a total of 34 points.

Riker Lynch: The R5 band member’s powerful Viennese Waltz with Allison Holker drew high praise from the judges. “You were like a raging torrent of emotions. Wow! What intensity and yet such control of execution,” Tonioli said. Goodman said “it was big, it was bold, it was full on and yet you still kept clarity of movement.” Goodman drew boos from the audience when he said he would have liked to see more dancing in hold. Hough was impressed. “For me, that was your best dance.” Inaba had one comment: “The question tonight is, are you semi-final worthy? For me, hell yeah!” Lynch earned three 10s and a 9, for a total of 39 points.

Robert Herjavec:
The Shark Tank star’s contemporary routine was a big hit with judges, especially since Herjavec and his pro partner Kym Johnson delivered a fan-requested kiss during the routine. “You didn’t need a wind machine up there; you‘ve got a big fan in me and that was well done!” a smiling Goodman said. Hough and Inaba said they believed Herjavec “upped” his game. “The way that you two danced was magic...,” Hough added. Tonioli, with his trademark animated enthusiasm, added: “It was like watching a deodorant commercial. ‘Use me; you get the girl!’” he said, adding that his comment was “a good thing.” Herjavec earned three 8s and a 9, for a total of 33 points.

Nastia Liukin:
With her pro partner, Derek Hough, still not fully healed from his injury, Liukin again danced with Sasha Farber with Hough playing a cameo role. The Olympian’s paso doble drew mixed reviews from the judges. Goodman liked the passion of the routine but said he wanted to see more recognizable paso content. Hough said she believed the pair was out of sync in a couple of spots, but felt the routine was fun to watch. Tonioli agreed that the performance was “amazing,” but told Liukin sometimes getting too much into a character could result in a loss of artistry. Inaba said the pair’s partnership “wasn’t so smooth” but she appreciated Liukin’s performance. Liukin earned four 9s, for a total of 36 points.

Rumer Willis: Coming off a disappointing turn last week, the actress’ rumba with Valentin Chmerkovskiy earned her a standing ovation from the ballroom audience and rave reviews from all four judges. “That was your best dance that I think you’ve done...that was bold,” Hough said. Tonioli called it a pitch perfect, refined, high class rumba.” Inaba called it “sheer perfection,” and Goodman, too, had high praise: “There’s no perhaps about it. It’s great,” he said. Willis earned four 10s, for 40 points and the first perfect score of the season.

The Trio Routines:

Noah Galloway, Sharna Burgess and Emma Slater: The judges appreciated their salsa routine, Goodman called it fun and in keeping with the character of the dance. Hough called it “hot, hot, hot,” adding: “If anybody can handle those two girls, it’s you.” Tonioli called the “armography” clever, adding: “You girls really worked that out.” Tonioli was so excited that he fell off his chair, but got up laughing it off. Added Inaba: “OK, so two girls, one arm. Probably impossible for most people but not for you, Mr. Noah...You make everything possible, you make it fun.” She expressed regret at not being able to change her score. Galloway earned four 8s, for a total of 32 points and a night’s grand total of 63 points out of a possible 80.

Chris Soules, Witney Carson and Lindsay Arnold: Their trio paso doble didn’t impress the judges. Hough said The Bachelor star had more room to improve and said his butt was “going in the wrong direction.” Tonioli appreciated Soules’ commitment to the routine but said he needed to keep his posture. “Spanish lines, very important...,” he advised. Inaba, too, found flaws. “The sad truth for me is...this is about how you stand out within the two girls. I really honestly felt that they overwhelmed you, which surprised me because you’re ‘the bachelor,’” she said, adding that the performance was off-timing and “clompy.” Goodman said Soules got so wrapped up in remembering the steps he forgot to inject the required flair of the routine. “It was okay but not great,” he said. Soules earned two 7s and two 8s, for a total of 30 and night’s grand total of 64.

Riker Lynch, Allison Holker and Brittany Cherry: Lynch’s upbeat jazz routine brought the ballroom audience to its feet, and the judges loved it. Inaba seemed thrilled. “Eighteen snaps! Get it! Get it! Get it! You hammered, hammered that number,” she said. Goodman declared it happy hour on Dancing with the Stars, saying the judges and Lynch and his partners were all happy with the routine. Hough added: “Now that was a jazz routine...the thing that I love the most is you were leading the routine.” Tonioli called the performance “a mover and shaker.” Lynch earned three 10s and a 9, for a total of 39 points and a night’s grand total of 78.

Robert Herjavec, Kym Johnson and Jenna Johnson: The judges noticed that Herjavec had some missteps in his samba, but they appreciated his style. “You handled those two women beautifully,” Inaba said. Hough added: “It was a bit messy, but you look sharp...” Tonioli said “the samba time was a bit of a shamble, but the style was there.” Goodman was his customary blunt self. Pointing out that it was difficult to do two dances in one night, he nevertheless added: “Unfortunately it’s not do one, get one free and this was a little bit on the messy side.” Herjavec earned two 7s and two 8s, for a total of 29 and a night’s grand total of 62.

Nastia Liukin, Derek Hough and Sasha Farber:
Dancing the slower parts with Derek Hough, her injured partner, and the faster parts with Farber, Liukin’s jive found high favor with the judges. It even brought Goodman to his feet. “That was fantastic,” he said. His comment led Liukin’s injured partner to gingerly make his way up to the judges’ bench to give Goodman a hug. Tonioli called the routine “total genius,” and Julianne Hough, Derek’s sister, called it “the most creative trio I have ever seen.” Inaba said she was baffled “because it was beyond brilliant.” The routine earned Liukin a perfect 40 points. Her grand total for the night was 76.

Rumer Willis, Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Artem Chigvintsev: Willis’ triple paso doble earned her a second perfect score of the night. “You’ve been great from day one but tonight you were superior,” Inaba told the actress. Goodman said Willis was brilliant. Her grand total for the night was a total 80 points.

Monday night’s scores (Individual Routine, Trio Dance. Grand Total):

  • Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy: 40; 40 Total: 80
  • Riker Lynch and Allison Holker: 39; 39. Total: 78
  • Nastia Liukin and Sasha Farber: 36; 40. Total: 76
  • Chris Soules and Witney Carson: 34; 30. Total: 64
  • Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess: 31; 32. Total: 63
  • Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson: 33; 29. Total: 62

Dancing with the Stars returns Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — President Obama was in New York City Monday, but the real excitement in town was for the huge number of A-list stars who attended the 2015 Costume Institute Gala, an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

The list of Hollywood stars at the Met event included George Clooney and his wife, Amal, Sofia Vergara with fiance Joe Manganiello, Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs, Jennifer Lawrence, Kerry Washington, Sarah Jessica Parker, Chloe Sevigny, Reese Witherspoon, Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway, Katie Holmes, Sienna Miller and Neil Patrick Harris.

If they handed out prizes for best headdress, Parker would have won easily. Her red Philip Treacy headpiece was compared online to everything from a flame emoji to the Heat Miser from A Year Without Santa Claus to Aladdin baddie Jafar.

The music world was well represented at the gala by Beyoncé and Jay Z, Madonna, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Cher and Rihanna, who had the dress of the night. She wore a canary yellow Guo Pei fur-lined dress that featured gold embroidery and a super long train that was measured in yards. Rih Rih said it took two years to make by hand.

Yes, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were there as well.

The inspiration for this year’s event was the Met's new exhibit, China: Through the Looking Glass.

Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic for HBO(NEW YORK) — One of the reveals in the new Vanity Fair cover story about Star Wars: The Force Awakens is that Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie is the character that is glimpsed in the teaser wearing head-to-toe chromed-out Stormtrooper armor.

The magazine also revealed her character is Captain Phasma, an officer of the First Order, the villainous army that rose after the Empire fell in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. The J.J. Abrams-directed Force Awakens will be released on Dec. 18, 2015.

In other Star Wars news, TheWrap reports the second Star Wars "Anthology" movie will center on the origins of bounty hunter Boba Fett, although Disney and Lucasfilm are remaining mum. The mysterious, jetpack-wearing character first made a big-screen appearance in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back, and despite only a handful of lines in that film -- and an inglorious end in Jedi -- he became a fan favorite. The movie is set for a 2018 release.

The first standalone anthology film, Gareth Edwards' Star Wars: Rogue One, which will star Felicity Jones, will hit theaters in 2016.

Lucasfilm is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.

iStock/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) — Django Unchained actress Daniéle Watts and her boyfriend, who accused a Los Angeles police officer of mistreating the actress because she was black, pleaded no contest Monday to disturbing the peace.

Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city attorney's office, tells the Los Angeles Times, that in exchange for their plea, Watts, 29, and her boyfriend, Brian James Lucas, were ordered to serve a year of formal diversion and complete 40 hours of community service. They were also ordered to write letters apologizing to the LAPD sergeant and another officer, as well as the occupants of a Ventura Boulevard building who reported them to police.

The charges stemmed from an incident in Studio City, California, last September that gained national attention after the couple alleged they were mistreated because Watts is black and Lucas is white.

L.A. police said officers responded to a call about a couple having sex in a car and Watts and Lucas matched the description of the couple.

Watts was briefly detained as officers asked for identification, but was later released, according to the police.

The LAPD initially noted that no crime was committed, but a department spokesman later claimed that a follow-up investigation "revealed witnesses who were willing to provide evidence of a criminal act."

Watts and Lucas had characterized their actions as a "passionate public embrace" and "extended public display of affection," according to the newspaper.

In exchanged for their plea, a lewd conduct charge was dropped against the couple.

Lou Shapiro, an attorney representing Watts and Lucas, said Monday that his clients were pleased with the outcome.

FOX(NEW YORK) — Here's some news that will have fans of The Simpsons yelling, "Woohoo!"

Fox announced Monday it has renewed the animated series for its 27th and 28th seasons.

The network released a "statement" from Homer Simpson that reads, “I've outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart and ‘McDreamy,’ because I have something they don’t: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction.”

David Letterman and Jon Stewart are both leaving their late-night shows this year, while "McDreamy," the character played by Patrick Dempsey on Grey's Anatomy, was killed off the ABC drama two weeks ago.

The Simpsons, which premiered in late 1989, is the longest-running scripted show in television history. It will have aired 625 episodes by the end of its 28th season.

The current 26th season is averaging six million viewers per episode, according to Fox.

Michael Tran/FilmMagic(PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.) — Seth Gilliam, an actor who appears on The Walking Dead, was arrested Sunday for DUI and other charges in Georgia.

Gilliam, known to fans of the AMC hit as the unstable Father Gabriel Stokes, was pulled over in Peachtree City, Georgia, after police say he was caught driving 107 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

According to a police report, Gilliam said the car was a rental and was "different" from the Jeep he normally drives. He said he had consumed three beers and a shot of alcohol, the report stated.

Police allegedly found a marijuana cigarette in the car.

Gilliam was arrested and charged with DUI, speeding, reckless driving and drug possession. He posted bond and was released from jail.

Gilliam's other credits include the TV series Teen Wolf, The Good Wife, and The Wire, as well as the Julianne Moore movie Still Alice.

Brian Bowen Smith/E! Entertainment(LOS ANGELES) — Bruce Jenner's sit-down with ABC's Diane Sawyer apparently wasn't the last word regarding his gender transition.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night, Keeping Up with the Kardashians Executive Producer Ryan Seacrest teased the E! show's upcoming two-part special "About Bruce," in which Jenner was filmed coming forward to his famous family about his life-changing decision.

Seacrest said the special is actually "two extra episodes that will air within the season, coming up this month."

"So you shot him telling everyone?" Kimmel asked excitedly.

"We did -- you know, the show is a docuseries, it's a docu-show," Seacrest explained.

Calling the idea "fantastic," Kimmel commented, "When we saw him sit down with Diane Sawyer...He talked about telling each of the kids, and I didn't even think about -- 'Oh, he told each of the kids with the camera there in the room...which is crazy!" Kimmel exclaimed.

Seacrest explained, "Yeah, I mean, but you know, he's been doing that for so many years with the camera in the room, so this just is his story..."

Seacrest insisted the cameras didn't get in the way of the reality of the moment. "There are times when we have one person in a room and you don't really feel that there's a camera there."

The two-part special, Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce, will air Sunday, May 17 at 9 p.m. and Monday, May 18, also at 9 p.m.

John Fleenor/ABC(NEW YORK) -- Could this be the start of Carly Rae Jepsen’s television acting career?

The singer will guest star as herself on an episode of Castle.

In the episode titled “Dead From New York,” Rick Castle and Kate Beckett are called in to investigate the murder of the creator of a long-running sketch comedy show called "Saturday Night Tonight."

Jepsen, who made her Saturday Night Live debut last month, will appear as the musical guest on the Castle version of the show.

She’ll be singing her new song, “I Really Like You,” and also will have a couple of lines of dialogue during the episode.

“Did some serious acting on @Castle_ABC,” she tweeted late last week. “Ok, I had two lines, but still pretty stoked!”

In a preview clip from the episode, Castle, played by Nathan Fillion, tells the singer he’s a huge fan. “Thanks, that means a lot to me,” she responds.

Before he can gush anymore, Jepsen, 29, is called on stage to perform.

The episode, which also will feature Jaleel White as the star of "Saturday Night Tonight," airs Monday night on ABC.

Araya Diaz/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- When Bruce Jenner told ABC News' Diane Sawyer last month that he’s transgender, he said that his family had been supportive.

However, it was tough for his ex-wife, Kris Jenner, to digest the information at first.

In a trailer for a special two-part episode of E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians to air later this month, she is seen crying to her daughter, Kim Kardashian.

"I have these memories of this life and I feel sometimes like it didn’t exist,” Kris Jenner said through tears.

The former Olympian and Kris Jenner were married in 1991 and announced their split in 2013. Together they have two daughters, Kendall, 19, and Kylie, 17.

Kardashian, 34, tried to make her mother see things from Bruce Jenner’s point of view.

“He has to deal with this for his entire life of waking up and feeling like, 'Woah! This isn’t my body. This doesn’t feel comfortable,’” she told her mother. “That’s the only way I can kind of imagine it. And you really have to, like, let go."
