Daniel Knighton/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- On Saturday at Cleveland's Public Hall, Ringo Starr will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist, thereby becoming the last of The Beatles' four members to be honored individually by the institution.

Starr initially was inducted into the Rock Hall as a member of the Fab Four in 1988, then saw his band mates John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison recognized for their solo careers in 1994, 1999 and 2004, respectively.

So how does the famed drummer feel about finally being acknowledged by the hallowed Hall?

"Well, it's about time," Starr told ABC News with a laugh. "I think it's beautiful. I do. I really think it's beautiful, and it's something for me to look forward to."

Starr revealed that it was McCartney who informed him that he was getting the honor.

"He called, and he said, 'They want to induct you into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I'll induct you. And will you accept?'" Starr recalled. "So I said, 'Sure. Sure. We can have a night out.'"

Unbeknownst to Starr, his Rock Hall induction came about thanks to a little help from his old friend.

"I've found out…that [McCartney] was out to dinner sitting 'round with a couple of other musicians, and no one could believe I wasn't in it," he said. "So they worked on it to get me in."

McCartney himself has admitted in recent interviews that when he told Rock Hall organizers that he would do the honors and induct Starr, that helped seal the deal for the drummer. In conjunction with his induction, Starr will be honored with the Award for Musical Excellence.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's other 2015 inductees are the late Lou Reed, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the late Stevie Ray Vaughn and his band Double Trouble, Green Day, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Bill Withers and The "5" Royales. No word yet on whether Starr will be performing at the ceremony.

Warner Bros(NEW YORK) -- It was supposed to first air on Monday in IMAX theaters, but the first Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer hit the Internet on Thursday night and fan were quick to react.

There was definite excitement, especially with the new Star Wars trailer hitting the same day.

The video wasn't officially posted by Warner Brothers -- so NO details here -- but here's the range of emotions fans had from seeing Ben Affleck in the new Batsuit.

One fan wrote: "The Batman V. Superman trailer looks amazing."

Some people hadn't had time to see it yet!

The full Batman V. Superman trailer leaked online but I was too busy writing JJ Abrams a thank you note.

— TODD SPENCE (@Todd_Spence) April 17, 2015

Then there was "sorry, not sorry."

That Batman vs. Superman trailer.........no words. I am literally speechless. It's that damn good. #excited #sorrynotsorry

— E.Z Peterson (@TheEZRider) April 17, 2015

oh my. the batman v superman trailer looks pretty darn wicked

— freekbass (@freekbass) April 17, 2015

Fans were thanking God.

Wanted to thank God for allowing me to see the Batman v. Superman trailer before it was taken down. @ZackSnyder, I'll still be there Monday.

— Greg Miller (@GameOverGreggy) April 17, 2015

Some people were spoiled by the new Star Wars trailer.

I'm not throughly impressed with the Batman v Superman leaked trailer, then again it's hard to compete with that Force Awakens trailer

— Mark Huston (@JediMark82) April 17, 2015

Then, others were just confused.

I still don't really get why Batman and Superman are mad at each other. And that trailer does nothing to help my confusion. #BatmanvSuperman

— Jennifer Schaefer (@jlschaefer) April 17, 2015

Granted, I’m complaining about a teaser trailer. I’ll reserve judgement until the final product is released #BatmanvSuperman

— Kevin Finnigan (@KevinFinnigan) April 17, 2015

And the OMGs!

Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg Batman v Superman trailer

Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Gunfights? Kung fu? Dogs with lasers for eyeballs? Hitler? Dinosaurs?

Sure.

David Hasselhoff's latest music video, “True Survivor,” was released Thursday and features a strange, beautiful mix of 1980s themes -- from computer hackers on PCs to street riot sequences that would make Steven Seagal proud.

The video -- which mimics the trailer for the upcoming movie Kung Fury -- opens with The Hoff driving a police car, approaching three street thugs.

“Hey, you got a permit for those guns?” Hasselhoff asks, according to the video.

“I got your permit right here,” one of the men says, using a skateboard to flip Hasselhoff’s car into the air, naturally. A gunfight ensues and Hasselhoff erases the bad guys before landing in a split as flames erupt behind him.

“Permit denied,” he says.

Hasselhoff, spirited as ever, sings beside a DeLorean-like car, bathed in pink smoke. Synthesizers play in the background. Dinosaurs roam. Flames billow. Bad guys get kicked in the face. You almost expect KITT, Hasselhoff’s smartcar in the 1980s series Knight Rider, to emerge, but that will have to wait for another adventure, another time.

ABC/Randy Holmes(NEW YORK) — Sarah Silverman is used to getting laughs, but this morning the comedienne is being called out for telling a story about being affected by the gender pay gap -- and the man on the other side of the story is disputing Silverman’s account.

Silverman told the story in a video for the women’s rights group, Levo League. In the video posted to YouTube on April 6, the 44-year-old Silverman claimed she was paid less than a male comic for an appearance at the New York Comedy Club in Manhattan.

She said the owner, Al Martin, paid her $10 for performing for the same duration of time as her male counterpart who happened to be a friend.

“I asked the owner Al Martin, I said ‘Al -- why did you pay me $10 dollars and you gave Todd Barry $60 dollars?’” she said in the video, adding that Martin’s move was “pretty sh**y.”

Martin has made his own video to respond to Silverman’s allegations. In his video, he called Silverman's claim over the incident from about 15 years ago "absolutely false" and explained that she got less money because she had not been booked to perform that night.

“You were a guest spot...Todd Barry was a booked spot that night” he said, adding that Barry was paid after his spot.

When Silverman came back and asked for pay, Martin said, “I felt bad. You were starting to get some stuff on TV and I didn’t want to have a bad relation with you so I decided to give you some cab fare. Apparently you misunderstood that..."

In an interview with ABC News on Thursday, Martin -- who now owns the Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club, both in New York -- described his reaction when he heard Silverman’s comments.

“I almost dropped my hot coffee on the floor. ...It was hurtful, it was not true,” he said.

Silverman is now calling the whole thing a big misunderstanding, saying in a statement to Salon.com that, when she did the spot, she didn’t expect to get paid.

“I didn’t expect to get paid, that’s not why I was there, but when I got off stage Al, the sweet club owner, paid me 10 bucks and I signed the payment sheet. I was like, oh, nice. I inferred from that that this was a paid spot not a guest spot. Either way I would have been fine,” she said, adding that when she learned that Barry had been paid $60, she went back inside the club to ask Martin about the difference.

“My regret is that I mentioned Al by name --  it should have been a nameless, faceless anecdote and he has always been lovely to me," she continued. "This is also HARDLY an example of the wage gap and can only do that very true reality a terrible disservice if I were trying to make it one.”

Reacting to Silverman’s statement, Martin told ABC News: “A sincere apology -- and maybe I'm old-school -- would’ve been a private phone call or something to say ‘Hey Al, I'm really sorry all this had to happen.’"

ABC/Craig Sjodin(NEW YORK) — Forty-one-year-old Blade actor Stephen Dorff is dating 21-year-old model and season-20 Dancing with the Stars contestant Charlotte McKinney, reports E! News.  The new couple was photographed food shopping together at the Pacific Coast Greens market in Malibu on Tuesday.

Prior to her Dancing with the Stars run, McKinney was best known for her sexy Carl's Jr. Super Bowl commercial. McKinney was eliminated from the ABC competition in late March.

Earlier this year, McKinney told E! News she prefers to date men who are funny. She revealed, "I like funny. That's my biggest thing. If I don't laugh at you and you don't laugh at me, it's not going to work."

Michael Kovac/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — More information has surfaced about Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher's new baby.

TMZ obtained a copy of the child's birth certificate, filed with the L.A. County Department of Public Health, and it reveals that Montgomery Moses Brian Baron Cohen -- a baby boy -- was born on March 17.

It was reported a week ago that the couple had the baby, but at the time the child's name, sex and birth date were a mystery.

The Australian actress, who is 39, and Cohen, who is 43, already have two daughters -- Olive, who is 7, and Elula, who is 4.

RB/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images(LOS ANGELES) — It appears Chris Brown has confirmed the reports that he is a dad.

It was reported in early March that he is the father of a baby girl, Royalty, who's now 10 months old.

On Thursday, Chris shared with his fans on Instagram an apparent photo of himself with his child, writing, "God has blessed me with my twin. #ROYALTY."

He also posted a second photo of Royalty by herself.

The child's mother reportedly is Nia Guzman.

Also on Thursday, Brown performed "You Changed Me" -- a collaboration from Jamie Foxx's new album Hollywood -- on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The Oscar winning actor confirmed to Kimmel that Brown's daughter was backstage.

"I hope he doesn't mind me saying this," Foxx said, explaining seeing Brown with his little girl was "absolutely mindblowing."

The actor also commented of the controversial recording artist, "People ask me...why Chris [is] on my record. I've known Chris since he was 15, and some of the things that people don't get a chance to see Chris, on the inside -- like when he comes and dances with my sister who has Down syndrome for hours at the crib, and no one sees this...There's some really blessful things that this kid have to offer."

Emily Shur/FOX(NEW YORK) — Chris Messina is making his directorial debut with Alex of Venice, in which he also stars. So what's the film all about?

"Alex of Venice is about a woman, Alex, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and she's left by her husband with their 10-year-old son and kind of forced to put the pieces of her life back together again," he tells ABC Radio.

"It's a slice-of-life film. It's definitely inspired by films that I love, '70s movies, that kind of made me want to be an actor, so that's why I wanted to do it," Messina adds.

"All the characters are going through some sort of change," he continues. "Some of them are choosing it and some of them are not. But change is obviously inevitable and it is often really painful even when it's good."

The Mindy Project star says he was more than prepared to step behind the camera.

"I liked going behind the camera. I've had the great fortune of working with some great directors that I have stolen from for this movie and then some bad directors that I've also kind of stolen from in terms of what not to do," he admits. "One of my favorite things about acting is collaborating. This time as a director you get to collaborate with everybody, but at the end of the day you're the final voice in it. It's refreshing and it's nice and it's nerve-wrecking because if people don't like it, there's only one director."

Not only is Messina the director, but he also portrays the fleeing husband, George, in the film. The actor warns that his character isn't completely a bad guy.

"In truth he might be doing a sh**ty thing or he might be doing it sh**ty, but I actually think in this particular situation they are inevitably going to break up and actually he's calling attention to the problems," he explains.

Alex of Venice
, which also stars Don Johnson and Derek Luke, is out Friday.

Sony / Columbia(NEW YORK) -- It’s a busy weekend at the box office. Several movies with big-name stars are opening, but it seems studios are using the time between box office champ Furious 7’s release and the May 1 opening of The Avengers: Age of Ultron to dump some duds.

First up, the drama True Story, which has so much star power that on paper, it looks like an Oscar contender: Academy Award nominees Jonah Hill, James Franco, and Felicity Jones head the cast, and Brad Pitt is a producer. But once you see it, you realize why it’s being burned off in mid-April and not opening later in the year, where most awards contenders debut.

As the title declares, True Story is based on a true story, about disgraced journalist Michael Finkel and his discovery that an accused murderer was assuming his identity. Hill plays the former writer for The New York Times, who gets drawn into the mind of Christian Longo (Franco), on trial for killing his wife and three kids in 2001. It’s a fascinating story, ripe for a film adaptation and probably a slam-dunk in the right hands, but here it’s not nearly as juicy or as gripping as you want it to be.

The acting and directing are solid -- Franco knows his way around a creep, Hill is serviceable but forgettable, and Jones does a lot with little to chew on as Hill’s long-suffering wife. The script appears to be the weak link here: at times boring, at time just ridiculous, with one jailhouse speech given by Jones that’s meant to be chilling, but just comes off as absurd.

Then again, it’s no more absurd than Child 44, another star-packed film that fails to deliver. Tom Hardy stars as a Stalin-era Soviet soldier hunting down a child murderer. The main problem with this movie is its lack of focus: it starts out as a gripping thriller about the destructive nature of communism, and by the end it’s basically an episode of Law & Order: Moscow. With mud wrestling. Seriously.

Again, there are solid performances from the big names involved, including Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace and Joel Kinnaman. But you have to wonder if they burst out laughing after each take -- some of the lines are just that silly.

Speaking of silly, there’s Kevin James’s return as the title character in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, which actually may not be silly. I have no idea -- the studio didn’t screen it for review, which is never a good sign. So why did Sony feel the need to make a sequel to the 2009 comedy? Because it made over $180 million on a budget of just $26 million, numbers no studio is going to ignore.

Which bring us to our final wide release of the week -- the horror film Unfriended. If you’d told me before I saw it that a movie filmed almost entirely on Skype, and starring five little-known actors, was going to be a whole lot more enjoyable than movies starring James Franco, Jonah Hill, Felicity Jones, Tom Hardy, et. al., I would have suspected you’d smoked too much of Jonah Hill’s stash. And I’d have been way wrong.

Unfriended is basically a scary version of that Modern Family episode from February that took place entirely on mobile devices. You’re watching five of the most annoying teens in the world having an inane conversation, and then they satisfyingly get killed off one by one. It drags a little here and there and could have actually used more gore, but in the end, Unfriended’s moral of “bullying people online leads to stupid teens getting dead” should be mandatory high school viewing.

Our scoreboard:

Unfriended (R): Three-and-a-half out of five stars.
Child 44 (R): Two out of five stars.
True Story (R): Two out of five stars.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (PG): ?

ABC/Image Group LA(DALLAS) -- Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott had a close call Thursday morning when her tour bus caught fire on the way to Dallas for the ACM Awards.

Everyone is safe and back on the road.

Hillary posted a picture of the burned-out bus on Instagram with the caption, "EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!"

Hillary's daughter, Eisele, was not on the bus, and her band mates, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, were traveling to Dallas separately.

Lady Antebellum will perform at the ACM Lifting Lives Charity Gala Friday night at the Omni Hotel in Dallas.

Of note, Hillary was asleep in the bus's back lounge when she had to evacuate. Later on, Hillary got a message saying all off her personal items were destroyed except for her Bible.

She posted a picture of the Bible on Instagram, saying, "The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing. Yall, God's Word will always stand. He is FOR YOU, WILL PROTECT YOU, AND HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER FADE. My faith is forever deepened because of today. I hope this story deepens yours."

Rodolfo Martinez/Bravo(LOS ANGELES ) -- Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards was arrested early Thursday and charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer following an incident in Beverly Hills, according to police.

Lt. Lincoln Hoshino, a representative for the Beverly Hills police department, told ABC News that officers reported to the Beverly Hills Hotel around 1:30 a.m., after receiving a report from security there.

Security claimed that an individual, later determined to be Richards, was causing "a disturbance" at the hotel restaurant and would not leave, though she had been asked repeatedly to do so. While being escorted off the premises, Richards asked to use the bathroom and barricaded herself inside. Security at the hotel made a citizen's arrest, and then officers took her into custody at 2:04 a.m., police said.

"Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior," Hoshino said in a statement. "[She was] cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest. After being transported to the station for booking, Richards kicked one of the officers in the leg; however the officer was not injured."

Richards was released at approximately 10:36 a.m. and is expected to appear in court on May 10.

The reality TV star has struggled with substance abuse in the past. In 2012, after spending time in rehab, she told Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen, "I'm an alcoholic."

A rep for Richards has not yet responded to a request for comment.

LucasFilm(ANAHEIM, Calif.) -- A brand new teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens has just debuted online, and in Anaheim, California, during the Star Wars Celebration event.  The trailer gives us a glimpse of three beloved characters, and lets us hear another one.

The trailer opens with a shot of a landspeeder driving across what looks like the planet Tatooine, and it passes the huge, wrecked remains of an Imperial star destroyer.  Then, we hear a voiceover, delivered by someone who is almost certainly Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill.

"The Force is strong in my family," he says. "My father had it." Cut to a scene of a ruined, melted Darth Vader helmet. "I have it." Cut to a scene of a cloaked figure with a fake hand -- Luke lost one of his hands when Vader cut it off -- reaching out to touch R2-D2.

"My sister has it," he continues, as we see a male hand handing a light saber to a female hand. "You have that power too," he adds.

What follows is a montage of exciting scenes:  X-Wing fighters flying over water, stars John Boyega and Daisy Ridley running from an explosion, a glimpse of new villain Kylo Renn, stormtroopers in a Nazi-like setting, Boyega removing his stormtrooper helmet, TIE fighters engaged in battle -- and then comes the kicker:

We see Harrison Ford as Han Solo, standing next to Chewbacca. "Chewie," he grins. "We're home!"

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens premieres Dec. 18, 2015.
