Lorraine Toussaint Shares Her Secret Hopes for “Orange Is the New Black” Character

Desiree Navarro/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- SPOILER ALERT: Last season on Orange Is the New Black, Lorraine Toussaint guest starred as Vee, a prisoner that shook up the women's federal prison. And although her evil character was killed off at the end of season two, fans have continued to wonder if she's really dead.

"She's definitely taken a hit. She's taken a seriously bad hit. The creator Jenji Kohan believes she's dead and she would know," Toussaint tells ABC News Radio with a laugh, "but I secretly do think [she's alive.] Now it is Vee. It is Vee."

Toussaint says she's humbled that some fans are hoping that she's not quite dead. "Mostly I'm so flattered and honored that people actually want her to still be alive," she adds.

"If she is alive I just hope she's nowhere near my house," Toussaint quips.

Toussaint, who just wrapped filming Selma in Birmingham, Alabama, said she had no idea her character was so beloved. It wasn't until she stopped filming the Civil Rights-era film and went back to New York that she realized her fan base.

"I did not know that show was going to be such a huge phenomenon. It really caught me unawares and off guard. I've never had construction workers come out of the pit to go, 'Lady, I just gotta shake your hand. I just gotta shake your hand lady' and attorneys and judges and students and 13 and 14-year-olds," she explains.

After wrapping up her guest starring role on Orange Is the New Black, Toussaint is starring in ABC's new fantasy medical drama, Forever. It airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. Eastern time.

Blaming ‘Hydra’ Leak, Marvel Releases “Age of Ultron” Teaser

Buena Vista(NEW YORK) -- That high-pitched sound you may have heard Wednesday afternoon was the collective squeal of millions of geeks after a teaser to Avengers: Age of Ultron leaked online. Marvel quickly -- and cheekily -- responded to the leaked footage with a two-word tweet, "Dammit, Hydra," and by releasing the full-resolution version of the trailer.

Age of Ultron
sees Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark enacting a peacekeeping program utilizing drone versions of his Iron Man suits, which serve to give Earth's Mightiest Heroes some R&R -- that is until the artificial intelligence behind the suits becomes self-aware as Ultron.

Voiced by James Spader, Ultron is a virtually indestructible mechanical menace who seeks to pacify the planet by exterminating its troubling inhabitants: all of mankind.

More ABC news videos | ABC Health News

The teaser, some of which was shown to limited audiences at Comic Cons in San Diego over the summer and recently in New York City, is punctuated with Ultron's promise to show the heroes, "something beautiful...everyone screaming for mercy," while admonishing them for "wanting to protect the world," but not being willing to go far enough.

"You're all puppets tangled in strings," Ultron says, warning, "There are no strings on me."

Driving home the point are scenes of Chris Evans' Captain America, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, and Mark Ruffalo's Dr. Bruce Banner seemingly mourning worldwide destruction -- set to the downright creepiest version of Pinocchio's "I've Got No Strings" ever recorded.

"It's the end," a defeated Stark says of his out-of-control creation. "The end of the path I started us on."

"Nothing lasts forever," Widow responds.

The set-piece of the snippet, however, was the buzzed about face-off between The Incredible Hulk and Stark's super-sized "Hulkbuster" Iron Man armor. Exactly what pits "science bros" Stark and Banner against each other remains to be seen.

As the two minute teaser ends, Ultron hisses, "Now I'm free. There are no strings on me," as we see Captain America's nearly indestructible vibranium shield shattered.

Avengers: Age of Ultron also stars Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders. The film from Marvel Studios, which like ABC News is owned by Disney, hits theaters in the U.S. on May 1, 2015.

Movie Review: “St. Vincent” (Rated PG-13)

Weinstein Company(NEW YORK) — St. Vincent isn’t a particularly complex story. In fact, it’s quite simple. Bill Murray’s Vincent is a different story entirely.

When we first meet Vincent of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, we quickly learn he doesn’t have enough money to pay off any of his debts, which include his bar tab, gambling arrears, and money owed for services rendered by his favorite pregnant Russian prostitute, Daka, played by the vastly underrated Naomi Watts (just two Oscar nominations is not enough). There’s also the matter of Vincent’s manner: it’s awful.

While passed out on his kitchen floor, with a bruised and bloodied face to show for it, Vincent’s fortunes change when a moving van backs into his fence and breaks a branch off of a tree, damaging both. The van belongs to his new neighbors, Maggie (Melissa McCarthy) and her young son, Oliver (Jaeden Lieberher). While Vincent wants nothing to do with them, he does want money for the fence and tree.

Maggie’s having a tough time. She’s in the middle of a divorce and Oliver’s father is refusing to pay child support.  She desperately wants Oliver to have a good education, so she decides to send him to a Catholic school, even though the young man is Jewish.  Oliver returns from his first day of school to discover he’s locked out of the house, so he asks Vincent for help. The curmudgeonly alcoholic reluctantly lends a hand, and so begins the unlikely friendship at the heart of the movie -- and St. Vincent has a lot of heart.

This isn’t the most original story, but writer and first-time feature director Theodore Melfi does a beautiful job capturing the idiosyncrasies and latent hypocrisy of the human condition.  One of my favorite scenes involves Vincent weaving his way through the long velvet ropes and stanchions of an empty line inside his bank. Here’s a man who seems utterly self-absorbed, who doesn’t play well with others, abuses alcohol, sleeps with a pregnant prostitute and is in deep to a loan shark, yet here he follows the rules and walks the entirety of the empty bank line.

St. Vincent is the most complete performance of Bill Murray’s career. At first glance, Vincent feels like a familiar and predictable character, but Murray’s deft touch provides this protagonist with many complex layers. He doesn’t do it alone, though. He has a few terrific scenes with Watts but Murray’s best work comes with young Lieberher, a baby-faced 11-year-old who’s probably one of the more natural actors you‘ll see at that age. Like Vincent himself, St. Vincent isn’t perfect, but Murray’s performance is.

Four out of five stars.

Matthew McConaughey Reveals 'Gut Reason' He Took "Interstellar" Role

ABC/Rick Rowell(LOS ANGELES) --  When Matthew McConaughey was considering taking the role of a father and former astronaut in the science-fiction movie Interstellar, he says he thought of his son Levi.

"He was into space and I would explain things in the solar system and how we got on the moon and all these things, and [he'd have] these young, wondrous eyes trying to, you know, work this out in his head," McConaughey said. "That was the main gut reason why I had to do this film."

The Oscar winner appears alongside fellow Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway and Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain in the Christopher Nolan film. They all sat down for an interview recently with ABC News' David Muir.

The film centers on a team of explorers that travels to another galaxy in search of another planet for humans to live on because Earth is in trouble over climate change.

The movie is due out Nov. 5 in select theaters and in wide release Nov. 7.

Nolan said that he was drawn to the emotion of the script, which was originally written by his brother Jonathan Nolan.

"My brother's original script has this amazing set of characters at the heart of it. This family who's sort of tested in this extraordinary way," he said. "And that's the thing that I most related to in the film."

Hathaway revealed that a particular scene during which her character cried had her hugging her castmates even more than usual.

"I immediately wanted to go out and find a comedy to act in," she said with a laugh.

Nolan and his crew turned to Kip Thorne, a renowned theoretical physicist who has long studied the far reaches of the universe, for help on creating the black hole the astronauts travel through. Nolan said parts of a spaceship were also built and used on the set, rather than a green screen or special effects.

"If you look at this film and you look at where we are right now in the world — and the climate changes that’s happening … You have to push forward and evoke some kind of positive change in your life, in the world," Chastain said. "It’s an incredible, thrilling movie."

She said she also hoped the movie would inspire younger generations.

"The idea that there could be a 7-year-old kid and it inspires her or him to want to go into space and explore space, I think that’s incredible," Chastain said.

Lorde Dishes On Visiting the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" Set

Ethan Miller/Getty Images via ABC(LOS ANGELES) -- When Lorde was tapped to curate the soundtrack of the upcoming Hunger Games movie Mockingjay Part 1, she found that part of the gig was being allowed to visit the movie's set.

For the singer, the experience was nothing short of "magical."

"In Berlin I had a show and The Hunger Games was shooting just across the road," she told Billboard. "A bunch of their people came over [to my show] -- Woody [Harrelson] was at the show being dragged away, because it was time to shoot. [And] we went to the set, which was so amazing for me."

"I've never been to a film set before," she added. "And just seeing, like, you know, everyone has a place, everything is so perfectly timed and...they call action and it's just all on. It's like, so magical. That was really fun."

The Mockingjay soundtrack is a blend of pop and R&B artists such as Charli XCX, Tove Lo, Miguel and Tinashé; British left-of-center acts like Bat for Lashes and The Chemical Brothers; rappers like Pusha T, Q-Tip and Kanye West; and '80s icons like Duran Duran frontman Simon LeBon and model/actress Grace Jones, who is one of Lorde's all-time idols. Lorde says she personally reached out to all of them to invite them to participate.

"It was really important to me, with the soundtrack, that people knew how involved I was, and a lot of that was me reaching out to people really directly, having a conversation on the phone, sending an email, sending a text, because I wanted people to know that, 'Your song isn't just going to be flung into some pot and, you know, chosen later,'" she explained. "I really cared about what was happening."

Reaching out directly, Lorde added, led to "some crazy experiences, like calling Grace Jones on the phone. She's like, 'I'm in the spa, give me a second.' I'm like, 'Of course, you're Grace Jones. ...I'll wait!'"

One person who can't wait to hear the Mockingjay soundtrack when it arrive November 17 is actress Willow Shields, who plays Katniss Everdeen's sister Primrose.

"Oh my God, I'm extremely excited," she told ABC News about the soundtrack. "I mean, I'm a huge fan of Lorde to begin with, and the fact that she's curating the soundtrack makes me so excited, because she also has just a great sense of who she loves as artists...so she's gonna get a lot of great people on that soundtrack."

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 arrives in theaters November 21.

Taylor Swift Reveals How Fame Has Changed Her Day-to-Day Life

ABC/Richard Harbaugh(NEW YORK) -- Taylor Swift may sing about universal truths, but her life is decidedly different.

Fame, she said, has allowed her to splurge on things like a private jet ("Isn't that crazy?" she said in Esquire) but it's also forced her to lose a bit of autonomy.

"I fought the idea of having security for a very long time, because I really value normalcy. I really do. I like to be able to take a drive by myself. Haven't done that in six years," she told the magazine. "[Even in Tennessee, my bodyguards] have to be in a car behind me because just the sheer number of men we have in a file who have showed up at my house, showed up at my mom's house, threatened to either kill me, kidnap me, or marry me. This is the strange and sad part of my life that I try not to think about. I try to be lighthearted about it, because I don't ever want to be scared. I don't want to be walking down the street scared. And when I have security, I don't have to be scared."

There have been a lot of changes in Swift's life recently. The singer, 24, recently moved to New York City and is planning to release her new album, 1989, later this month. And despite recently moving to a place that many stars call home, New York City, Swift said she won't leave her home if she's having a bad day, so that she doesn't accidentally snap at a fan.

"It's a social situation every time I go out," she explained. "I just have to wake up in the morning and say, 'How am I feeling today? If someone asks for a picture, am I gonna feel imposed upon today because I'm dealing with my own stuff? Am I gonna take my own stuff out on some innocent 14-year-old today and be in a bad mood?' OK, maybe not … Maybe I won't leave the house."

Her career also forced the singer to finish two years of high school in 12 months ("That was just the most practical way to do it," she said) and deal with online trolling in a way that would reduce most people to tears.

"That's what I don't like about celebrity culture and the obsession with it, and the takedown culture that we seem to be in. You have celebrities who are pushed to the brink of a public meltdown, and so the public thinks that every person in the public eye has dirty secrets that they're keeping, or isn't what they seem, or is masking it and faking sincerity, faking authenticity, faking being surprised at award shows when you win a Grammy," she said. "I'm not gonna let them make me have a meltdown."

Bill Murray Talks Dating and Whether He'd Try Tinder

ABC/Rick Rowell(LOS ANGELES) -- Bill Murray knows all about Tinder, but that doesn't mean he's going to use it.

When asked if he would consider downloading the dating app, he responded in the negative.

"I think it could be amusing but I can't imagine doing it," he said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "I feel like I've lived that life and I can live that life at any moment."

Need proof? The St. Vincent star, 64, looked into the studio audience and made eyes at a man in the front row.

"I can just sort of say, 'Hey you, with the camera. No, you. Come here,'" he said. "Dammit, I'm coming your way!"

With that, he pulled the man onstage, to laughter from Kimmel and the crowd.

"Well, he blushes easily," Murray quipped. We're never going to get to a lot of the good stuff!"

Why Shailene Woodley Is Homeless by Choice

Lloyd Bishop/NBC(LOS ANGELES) -- Shailene Woodley can certainly afford to buy a home, but the Golden Globe-nominated actress is homeless by choice.

On Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Woodley said she prefers a nomadic existence at this point in her life.

"I feel like I'm so young and this is the time to travel and experience new things," Woodley said, adding that she prefers to travel with a single suitcase.

"It feels so nice to not have to worry about 'Oh, where is that pair of jeans' because you only have one pair of jeans, which is why I have a carry-on. Because if everything I own is in a suitcase and that suitcase somehow gets lost then I would just be stranded," she said with a laugh.

Although she doesn't have a home, Woodley said she does have a home city.

"I guess L.A. would be my hub because my family is here but I just travel around with my little suitcase that I stole from my mom's house," she explained.

Woodley will next be seen on the big screen in White Bird in a Blizzard, out Oct. 24.

Katy Perry Cancels Plans for Birthday Bash in Egypt

ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) -- Katy Perry was planning to spend her 30th birthday on Saturday like the Queen of the Nile, but now she's suffering a "denial" of celebration opportunities.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Perry was set to take her crew to Egypt to celebrate her milestone, and while there, had booked a schedule of parties and sightseeing, including a cruise down the Nile River. However, news of her visit leaked out, and a source tells the publication that the singer scrapped the plans due to "safety concerns."

The idea for Perry to travel to Egypt may have been sparked by the Ancient Egypt-themed video for her #1 hit, "Dark Horse."

Perry is on a break from her PRISMATIC world tour, but it will pick up again Nov. 7 in Australia, where she'll remain until Dec. 20. Another break will follow, and then a European leg begins Feb. 16.

Between those two dates, Perry will presumably perform at the halftime show at the Super Bowl, though the NFL hasn't officially confirmed that.

Kanye West Gushes over Kim Kardashian on Her Birthday

Steve Mack/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- In celebration of Kim Kardashian’s 34th birthday, Kanye West returned to his Twitter account to express his undying love for his wife.

"Happy Birthday baby! Thank you for being the dopest wife & mom!" he tweeted to Kardashian late Tuesday night.

The rapper also professed that his love for her goes beyond what words can describe.

"Sometimes I feel like just saying I love you isn’t strong enough to express how much I love you…" he wrote, which was later retweeted 52,000 times by his fans.

West seemingly showered Kardashian with a surprise vacation, judging by her recent Instagram picture. "Good morning #BdaySurpriseGettaway," she wrote in the caption along with a photo of an unnamed tropical locale.

Renee Zellweger Says She's 'Glad' People Think She Looks Different

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- The buzz on social media Tuesday centered on Renee Zellweger's appearance at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards in Beverly Hills the previous day. There were plenty of comments that the actress looks much different than she did just a few years ago.

Zellweger doesn't appear to be too bothered by all of the attention she's receiving, though she does believe it is "silly." In a statement to People magazine, the 45-year-old actress declares, "I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows."

Saying that she's adopted a healthier lifestyle and is in a loving relationship with boyfriend Doyle Bramhall, the Oscar winner notes, "Perhaps I look different. Who doesn't as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I'm happy."

Zellweger says she decided to issue a statement because "it seems the folks who come digging around for some nefarious truth which doesn't exist won't get off my porch until I answer the door."

Matthew McConaughey Details What It Took to Wed Camila Alves

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Matthew McConaughey sheds light on why he married his wife of two years, Camila Alves.

"I had to get to the point where I saw it as more than just the thing to do," the actor says in the November issue of GQ magazine, out nationwide Oct. 28. "I wanted to really want to. You know, I didn’t want it to be a destination; the fun is that we’re on the adventure together. And look, some of it had to do with her putting it on me. It took her going, 'C’mon, Big Boy, Mr. Easygoing-We’ll- Get-to-It-When-We-Get-to-It. Either s**t or get off the pot.'"

McConaughey admits it did take some convincing. "We talked about it spiritually. We did a lot of reading and talked to a lot of people that had been divorced, a lot of people that had been happily married. We talked to our pastor," he explains. "In the end, our understanding was, 'Let's go make a covenant, with you, me, and God.'"

Now that he's married father of three, McConaughey loves being a family man.

"It’s the one thing I’ve always wanted to be. Never is a man more of a man than when he is the father of a newborn," he says. "You know what’s important. I definitely got more selfish. And at the same time, I think I got more compassionate."

McConaughey will next be seen on the big screen in Interstellar, which opens Nov. 5.

Fox Sued for $250 Million over Mobster Character in “The Simpsons”

FOX(NEW YORK) -- Fox has been slapped with a $250 million lawsuit by an actor who claims a character on The Simpsons is based on him, in violation of his publicity rights.

The character in question is Louie, who occasionally has been seen on the long-running animated series over the years as a crony of the mobster Fat Tony. The plaintiff, The Godfather Part II and Goodfellas actor Frank Sivero, claims "Louie's appearance and mannerisms are strongly evocative" of him, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sivero alleges that back in 1989, the year The Simpsons premiered, he was living in the same apartment complex as Simpsons writers. He claims the writers were aware he was creating a gangster character for Goodfellas named Frankie Carbone, which was based on his personality. He says the Louie character debuted on The Simpsons a few years later.

Furthermore, Sivero argues that actor Dan Castellaneta, who voices Louie as well as other Simpsons characters, most notably Homer Simpson, has said he "modeled his voice after Italian American actor, Joe Pesci, who also had a role in Goodfellas."

Among other allegations, Sivero says Simpsons producer Gracie Films had expressed interest in collaborating with him, but he now feels they were "simply studying him further for the character Louie."

‘Duke Porn Star’ Belle Knox's Life Mirrors Wednesday's “Law and Order: SVU”

Michael Parmelee/NBC(NEW YORK) -- Every Law & Order "ripped from the headlines" episode runs a coda stating that any similarities to any person is "purely coincidental," but for a Duke University student who became a household name when she was "outed" last year as porn star Belle Knox, Wednesday's episode of Special Victims Unit hits extremely close to home.

Belle Knox, which is not her birth name, is currently a sophomore at Duke.  She began making movies under a stage name to pay her hefty tuition, and freely admits her side-job makes her feel empowered about her body and her sexuality.

In Wednesday's episode of NBC's crime-drama, a college student is sexually assaulted by men who discover she's been shooting porn to cover tuition.

The so-called "slut shaming" Knox felt after her cover was blown -- including death threats from some on campus -- figures prominently with the victim in the episode.

A longtime L&O fan, Knox told ABC News Radio she can't wait to see art imitate life. "I think that this will be a really good episode in terms of raising awareness about...sexual assault on college campuses, and -- I haven't seen it, but the central theme I think they're trying to get at is that just because a woman is sexual or promiscuous, doesn't give anybody the right to sexually assault her or violate her."

Knox tells us that slut-shaming isn't limited to those in the adult industry. "I think the celebrity nude hacking scandal is a good example of how we slut-shame women," the performer said, before allowing, "I think that the people involved in it, like Jennifer Lawrence, they handled it really well. And I hope we reach the point where a woman's body isn't used against her, like Emma Watson was saying."

In June, Knox penned a Time magazine article about the spiraling costs of higher education in which she cheekily admitted, "Faced with either a degree from a less prestigious school or decades of crushing debt, a few hours of work on a porn set revealed itself to be the best way to avoid getting screwed."

With her tuition getting paid, and her star in the adult world white-hot, Knox says she's looking towards the future. "My goal is to be a lawyer. Actually, SVU is like part of why I was...really inspired to be an advocate for women," she says, before laughing, "I learned a lot of...courtroom procedure just from...watching SVU." Fighting for victims of sexual assault in real life, like special victims cops and prosecutors do, "would be amazing," the 19-year-old maintains.

Law & Order: SVU
, "Pornstar's Requiem," airs Wednesday night at 9 p.m. Eastern time on NBC.

A documentary about the adult industry star, Becoming Belle Knox, recently debuted online.
