Men Who Cook (#MWCAM) is one of River Oaks' largest annual fundraisers. This event invites local food enthusiasts, chefs, and guys who simply love to cook, to prepare their favorite food or drink recipes for taste testing.

This event draws a crowd of well over 500 people each year. Dubbed as a 'community favorite,' MWCAM is a ton of fun for all involved, from the chefs to its organizers. If you want to showcase your culinary expertise or experience a plethora of taste testing options, attend this annual event!

Alex River Fête draws together Louisianans and out of state visitors from near and far to celebrate the arts, culture, and heritage of Central Louisiana. Set on the banks of the Red River in Downtown Alexandria, the three-day festival has historically encompassed several events including Dinner on the Bricks, Art Fête , QueIn on the Red and Indie Village. Dozens of lively arts programs, colorful street performers, vibrant craft displays and sales, food vendors, children’s activities, and live music. The festival begins Thursday with the Fête kickoff, Dinner on the Bricks and continues Friday and Saturday. Admission and parking are FREE!
